Remembering Cody Coffman

We are here to support the Coffman family as the grieve the loss of their son, Cody.

In the first century the church had a practice of sitting with the brokenhearted for a week before saying anything.  We have an impulse to say something to fix the problem or make people be comforted.  Sometimes our intensions don't always translate the way we want.  The best thing we can usually do is be present, listen, and validate feelings.  If you are a friend of the Coffman family, they will need your time.  Be willing to be present.  And be willing to be turned away; sometimes we just need to be alone.
